NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR - Information Technology
SYBER is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team of talented Network Engineers. Ideal Candidate will be capable of performing:
- Network Administration
- Will have atleast 2 years of professional Network Management experience and success.
- Will have be able to articulate past projects and challanges exemplifying their strengths.
- Will have a CCNA designation with Microsoft credentials.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Server environments and administrator experience.
Job Essential Functions:
- Knowledge of design principles and best practices for Microsoft Business Environments.
- Manage issues relating to computer systems, servers and networks.
- Design and implement network solutions that meet clients’ business needs.
- Self-motivated; able to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent customer skills.
- Strong team interaction and problem solving skills.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
Position Prerequisites:
- A+, MCP, CCNA, and/or MCSE certifications are desired.
- Design and setup a TCP/IP network including DNS, DHCP, and WINS
- Design, implementation and configuration of a multi-office Microsoft Active Directory
- Physically built and configured Compaq/Dell/HP server equipment
- Design, setup, and implementation of a highly available VMWare/Hyper-V virtual environment
- Design, setup, and implementation of a storage area network
- Microsoft Windows 2000, 2003, 2008 Domain Infrastructure
- Theoretical and Practical Application of IP
- Exchange Server 2003 & 2007
- Router and Switch Configuration Experience
- Enterprise Backup Solutions
- Enterprise Antivirus Solutions
- Appliance Based Firewall Security
- Windows Terminal Server
- VPN Technology Ability to grasp new technologies quickly.
- Must be located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Working knowledge of networks and network management practices.
